liquid metal

I feel like I've really been gravitating towards gold accents recently and neglecting all of my silver jewelry, but when I saw this top at a local thrift store, I immediately forgot why.
The shirt is super lightweight and looks amazing out in the sun. Almost like a liquid metal.
I definitely feel like it's one of those pieces that I'll keep in my closet for years to come. Plus, it gave me a reason to bust out some of my silver jewelry and my silver-studded booties!

What kind of accents/accessories do you most often pair with your outfits? Gold or silver?

iced coffee weather

I can't believe it's already short-dress/iced-coffee/100-degree weather. Spring was what....2 weeks long? I can't believe how quickly my senior year is flying by. So many things have come and gone and I'm just left thinking, "Why didn't I stop to appreciate that more?" I'm going through the whole "this-is-my-last-time-to-ever-do-this" phase with just about everything school related. And don't get me wrong, I'm more than ready to be out of high school....but it's so strange thinking about all the things I've done nearly every day for four years, I'll never do again. With three weeks 'til graduation, just about everything is coming to a close.
.....and as I was typing this, I just realized I still haven't found a graduation dress. Probably should get on that.

layer up with free people

Image via Free People
The easiest way to stay warm this winter is to layer, and there's no reason not to do it with style.
The key is to keep everything lightweight so that you're not drowning in clothes, but still able to keep warm.
While layering clothes keeps you toasty, layering accessories adds an edge to your look. And who does that better than anyone? FP.
Check out their "The Road Less Traveled" lookbook to shop this look above, and get inspired!

ALSO- voting for NYFW starts Dec. 31! Don't forget- if you vote for me, you'll have a chance to go with me! xo

winter wants #1

winter wants #1

The temperature here in Texas is dropping down to 50 tomorrow, which isn't cold, but it's a lot chillier than the high 80's/low 90's we've been having the past few weeks, which got me to thinking about cooler weather clothes...
Autumn is here and winter is calling my name! I'm so excited to go winter clothes shopping.

dallassssss

My sister convinced me to pick this up at Anthropologie because she uses it (and loves it) and I'm so glad I did! Not only does it work on your lips, but you can use it anywhere. Body/cuticles/face....it's all purpose. It is wonderful.

This was on sale at H&M for only $1 and smelled heavenly, so I thought I'd grab it. Now that I've used it, I'm kicking myself for not buying more. It's much too small :(

Found these sunglasses online and fell in love. But they look awful on me.

I wear this bracelet everywhere!
Although I live super close to Dallas, no one in my family really likes going because the traffic is so awful. They have the best mall, though (NorthPark) and it has all of the really nice stores that my local mall doesn't have (H&M, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, Free People, Anthropologie, etc). My mom bought me some really nice leopard jeans while she was in DC at H&M, but they didn't fit so I needed to return them, and thankfully my sister agreed to drive me to Dallas (too scared to drive in that awful traffic). I was really sad when they didn't have my size left in the jeans, but I found some other nice things! The black and white pants above are what I got as a replacement, as well as a bodycon striped dress (which is basic and boring and didn't deserve a photo) and a delicious body butter. I also picked up a really neat newspaper by Design Sponge and Rosebud Salve from Anthropologie.
I have got to stop spending money, though. Really.
