I've never been a huge Coach person, but I couldn't help but purchase this gorgeous vintage 1974 leather cross body. It's a beautiful creme color and it goes with nearly everything. I'm a big-bag person through and through, but this timeless bag is perfect for small outings and I can't wait to wear it out more!
I've also been living in loose, airy dresses on my days off because the heat is unbearable. When I'm at work all day I get to wear sweaters and cardigans because it's always so cool....but when I'm out on days like this when it's over 100 degrees, the best (and only) option for me is a dress. I really love the print of this one!

Only in Texas do you have 40 degree weather one day, and almost-80 degree weather the next.
Aside from getting sick from all the temperature change, I'm loving the nice weather! I've been pulling out all my skirts and spending as much time outside as I can. For this outfit, I layered my super comfy gray sweater with a very ornate, detailed skirt. I liked how the simplicity hit the detail on the skirt, giving you just a peek of it. It was really comfy, but still cute (the only way to go!).

brown boot lovin'

I was wandering through forever21 frantically a few days ago, searching for a quick/inexpensive outfit I needed for that evening when I nearly tripped over a centerpiece showcasing these beauties in the middle of one of the rooms. I'd been looking for a pair of nice brown ankle boots,  so I momentarily paused my mad-dash for an outfit to try these on. Cute and comfortable.
Turned them over, checked the price. On sale for $15.
Cute, comfortable, and cheap.I have worn these every day since. Didn't even need to break them in. I love the braided detail, and the color is sooo perfect. Plus, they don't look nearly as cheap as they were!

end of break blues

Was taking snaps of my bracelets so I rolled up my sleeve...forgot to unroll it. Oops!

My winter break is coming to a close, and I'm so sad to see it end! I've had the best winter break. So much family time, wonderful presents on Christmas, and tons and tons of shopping with great friends.
I have really enjoyed having so much time to blog and relax in the evenings, and I'm not looking forward to dealing with the stresses of school again next week. It's my last semester of high school, though, so I probably should at least try to enjoy it a bit!

flowers in winter

Sooooo I'm always complaining about it not being cold enough in Texas, right? Well, the temps have finally gotten super low and I now realize how miserable it is trying to take photos when it's freezing out.
That's why this post only has two photos. My older sister (who took them) and I were both rapidly turning into icicles so we had to cut this one a bit short.
On Christmas I got about a billion and one giftcards to Forever21, so this outfit is comprised almost solely of F21 items EXCEPT the beautiful black cape! I got that c/o MySocialOutlet (probably the coolest company ever...you muuuust check them out!) and I am so in love with it. It's so cozy and it's very high quality, and actually kept me quite warm!
I'm also really digging the floral leggings. I have taken quite the liking to patterned pants/leggings, and I can't stop buying them.

The temperature here in Texas is dropping down to 50 tomorrow, which isn't cold, but it's a lot chillier than the high 80's/low 90's we've been having the past few weeks, which got me to thinking about cooler weather clothes...
Autumn is here and winter is calling my name! I'm so excited to go winter clothes shopping.

summer favorites

 

Starbucks iced passion tea lemonade= perfect warm weather drink. I get really sick whenever I eat/drink things when I'm hot, but this tea is really light so it's perfect for the Texas heat.
I've also found myself wearing these booties with practically every single outfit this summer, which is weird because I thought I'd mostly be wearing them in cooler weather. So that makes me love them even more: they're perfect year-round.
