Happy graduation day! (For me, at least.)
For anyone who graduated today, or just recently graduated, or will soon....congratulations! It's an exciting thing to move on from high school.
Unfortunately, I didn't get many photos at graduation, so I'll forego an entire post about that.

In other news, I'm typing this post from my brand new Macbook Pro! Thanks, mom and dad!
My last laptop was very close to death, and this was a total surprise, so I'm very excited...a computer that works properly is like a brand new world!
Today has made me so excited to start the next chapter of my life...now the countdown until college begins! :)

morning madness

Some mornings I just wake up feeling stressed. Take this morning, for example. I woke up an hour later than expected, remembered I had 3 pieces of clothing I needed to get shot by today, had work early in the afternoon, and not much time to get everything done. I feel like I've been in overdrive all day.
But thankfully we got everything shot, and I even had a few minutes to put this up before I'm headed off to work!
I hope you're all having an amazing Sunday and a great memorial weekend! Remember to stop and remember the real reason tomorrow is a holiday.

60's queen

I. Love. The. 60's.
Today I found this little dress that I got (for $8, might I add) in the back of my closet so I tossed it on, added a little bit of a red lip, and rummaged through my dad's dresser until I found his bandanas.
Result? Little 60's Susie.
No one was available to take pictures for me today, so I broke out the old tripod and tried to do some myself. Yikes. 
I spent a good half hour running around and having the most ridiculous photoshoot with myself...but it was a lot of fun, I'll admit.

incapable of dressing for the weather

These may or may not have been taken on the same day as my last post which may or may not be why I'm wearing the same bag/sunglasses/hairstyle...
My pro-photog sister is back in college and she has night classes almost every weeknight, so we decided we'd start shooting several outfits on one day over the weekend so I could just post them throughout the week.
At the time, it didn't occur to me to change anything but my outfit, so by the time I was parked near a field changing outfits in the car (definitely not a cute sight to behold), it was a bit too late to concern myself with a change in the accessory department. You'll just have to trust me that I'm not too accessory-challenged.
In other news, I'm glad I didn't actually wear this today because it's about 28 degrees right now (yesterday it sleeted & snowed all morning). It was only about 45 the day we shot this...but I thought it would be a cute outfit, and cute outfits don't wait for anyone. Besides, I'm never properly dressed for the weather. I don't even have a winter jacket yet....but I ordered one online yesterday, so I'm sure it will get here in time for the Texas winter season to start wrapping up. Peeeerfect timing...whatever, it was on sale.

little sunday dress

This cute dress has been sitting in my sister's closet for a few weeks and I've been dying to try it on. It's hard to tell from these photos, but it's like a heavy chainmail-type material.
It was probably a bit too chilly to be wearing this today (ok, no, it was definitely too chilly) but I really loved it! S/o to my awesome sister for letting me borrow it (and for snapping these photos!).
Hope you're all enjoying the last little remnants of the weekend! Sundays are great, but Sunday nights are such a bummer.

First of all, let me apologize for the awful quality/angles/lack of creativity with these photos.
I haven't slept in a few days and I just feel so out of it. And I would do an outfit post, but my face is still swollen/red from an allergic reaction I had with a makeup product. Awesome.

ANYWAY, my back-to-school shopping has begun, clearly. These are all the things I've picked up within the last month or so for school.
I didn't really notice until I even made this post, but it appears that I'm really gravitating towards pinks, neutrals, and polka dots. And skulls. I love skulls.
I'm excited to wear all of the sweaters I've gotten, but those won't be put to use until December because of the awful heat in Texas. I also am super duper excited to finally have a pair of quality black jeggings! Thank you Levis, you are never a disappointment. They fit so nicely and are extremely comfy.
Although I was initially really excited about my backpack, when it got here I found that it was teeny tiny. The site I bought it off of didn't mention that is called a "mini" backpack (or so Roxy calls it). I really like the style, though, so I'm going back and forth on whether I'll return it.

I've also bought a ton more things online that haven't arrived yet. My online spending is out of control. I'd say that I need to stop, but I really don't want to. What's better than getting mail and having new clothes? Probably nothing.

Getting so hot here in TX- high today was 106 (but the "feels like" temperature was 116). It's awful.
